Girl's Night In!

Yay! Coming out of this unprecedented Covid-19 house arrest in style…and HEALTHY.

Thank goodness for fun girlfriends who also happen to be great neighbors. My favorite photographer, Judy decided to host a lovely and fun get together. The weather was warm and sunny and the patio was the perfect spot. Champagne anyone?

I feel so comfy in this adorable jumpsuit from the GAP. The blue hue worked beautifully with this knock out soft jacket from STEIN MART. The jacket is embroidered and has small silver medallions as an added interest.

Here is a better look at the fun silver medallions that hang from the jacket. Oh and the ruffle trim around the bottom is a very feminine detail.

This jacket goes with everything! Blue jeans, crisp white jeans, cropped pants and chambray.

Yes I am ready to venture outside of our ranch. Even if it is visiting neighbors and catching up with a glass of bubbly!

Trina Turk Dress

I truly enjoy Trina Turk designs.  Her love of color and pattern are inspiring and they always make me smile.  This great orange halter style dress is total perfection.  It has a fun inverse pleat in the front and a simple yet comfortable A-Line design.

This adorable acrylic bag is from Neiman Marcus and appeared in last years Christmas Book.  Three great designs and I bought them all!  I will do a blog post with fun photos of all of them soon.  The earrings are from Wal-Mart (hey, you never know what you can find and make stylish!)  Right?

I opted for nude sandals with a little embellishment and low heels.  They are Alex & Marie at Dillard's.

Hooray for pockets!  Here is the head to toe look.  Simple, cool on these last few summer days and a great color for me.

I love Maggy London

I am dress obsessed!  Is there a twelve dress program for this?  I just find dresses cooler and ladylike and easy to put together.  Whether it is a maxi, a fit and flare or a LBD you will always look a little "EXTRA"!

I absolutely love Maggy London designs.  Their selection is vast and their size range terrific.  This is one of their most popular dress styles.  It is called "The Illusion Dress".  It came in black and navy blue and has a beautiful textured fabric and a striking neck detail.  This dress will take you from a creative office environment to a business dinner in style.  I received a notice that Maggy London had a sample sale over the weekend and I cannot wait to receive my order and share it with you!

Since the top of the dress has such visual impact I did not want to compete with the design by adding a  necklace.

So, I pulled out statement earrings from Kenneth Jay Lane, my own cocktail ring and bold bracelet.

Power Pink

Pink is such a great color!  So many shades.  From soft pinks to bright look-at-me fuschia.

This shift dress is Belle Badgeley Mischka from Dillard's.  It has such a demure jeweled collar and cap sleeves.

The dress below is so dramatic and so comfortable to wear.  The tulip sleeves are tapered and therefore not overwhelming. The dress is from New York & CO.  The multi strand pear necklace is one of my favorites and it is from the Audrey Hepburn Jewelry Collection available through HSN.

This one is one of my ultimate favorites.  Kate Spade with feminine crystal bows.  It does not get any more classic than this.  LOVE!

Pink and orange and lace...OH MY!  What a fun combination!  Dress by Aidan Mattox .  This fun clutch is from the Neiman Marcus Christmas Catalog from 2017.  I have a few others and a blog post on all of them will be coming soon!

Derby Style...Off to the Races!

It is the first Saturday in May.  You know what that means?  The Kentucky Derby!  And this year we have a double whammy with Cinco de Mayo on the same day.  Talk about having to pace yourself!  Mint Juleps in the morning, Margaritas in the afternoon and Excedrin at midnight.

But seriously...the FASHIONS!  I mean, ok, the race is absolutely exhilarating. But let's be honest I love the hats and fascinators!!  I have a collection and they are so fun.

Now, although these looks are pure Cinco de Derby approved, these looks could be just as perfect for the  busy bridal season ahead.  The dresses themselves translate beautifuly to a Mother's Day Brunch, First Communion, and graduations just to name a few!

I love pink and I love this hat.  It's a WIN-WIN for me! If you are outdoors and in a warm climate enjoying outdoor festivities you will love it.  It is by Kate Landry and I found it at Dillard's.  The dress is a lovely abstract floral and it is by Katherine Kelly at Dillard's.

I am totally obsessed with this lip color! It is from Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Paint-On liquid lip collection.  The name is Liquid Desire #406.  It feels amazing on, has a "vinyl" finish, but it is not too shiny and the color stays put for hours.  I also have it in Chrome Copper and it too delivers great color pay-off.

You need to try these, you will love them!

Another great hat option is the fascinator a form of hat that may be traced back to the Renaissance era of the 16th century.  

If you don't want or like a big hat then the fascinator is your perfect choice.  This cutie is by Kate Landry at Dillard's.  It will make you feel like a guest off to the upcoming Royal Nuptials! This great looking dress is by Gabby Skye at Nordstrom.  A terrific fit and flare with another take on the floral print.  The woven fabric is very unique and so pretty!

Naughty & Nice

Another reason to celebrate and look great while singing those Christmas Carols or maybe spinning that dreidel????  Whatever you chose to do you will look and feel beautiful wearing this dress. i know I did when I wore this to a recent holiday dinner.   Adrianna Papell does such a classy job with designs and fabrics.

This is such a beautiful floral dress and the fit and flare style is one of my favorites.  So very festive!  The bonus is the skirt has a built in crinoline slip and pockets.

Now, lets talk about this adorable clutch!!!  Who's been naughty AND nice?  I'm probably on both lists.  Go figure!.  Found this fun clutch in the Neiman Marcus Christmas Book for under $70.00.  It is a conversation starter for sure!

The rose gold pave bangles add a touch of subtle sparkle to the bold floral dress. They are by Joan Boyce.

Naughty or Nice?  That's for Santa to figure out.  In the meantime, I got more shopping to do!
