The Prettiest Summer Dress

jpg (13).jpg

Late afternoon summer parties. Beautiful outdoor setting with great friends, delicious Texas style bar-b-Que and wonderful bluegrass music. Does it get any better? I think not. This is the most perfect summer chic dress! It is by Catherine Malandrino and I bought it online at Stein Mart a few months ago. So sad they are closing ALL stores and their online shopping site as well.

jpg (11).jpg

It is made of a lovely fabric and it is lined. My favorite details are the elegant off shoulder style and the lovely embroidery throughout. So flirty and feminine.

jpg (9).jpg

It is truly easy to wear with a gathered elastic waist (perfect for that second helping of peach cobbler!)

I also like that it is not too long. Tripping over a too long maxi is no fun. Trust me.

A pair of white flat sandals and fabulous earrings from my BFF Mila and a few David Yurman bracelets finish off the look. Oh, and my favorite sunglasses by Tom Ford.

Because it was outdoors I chose my favorite powder foundation by Laura Geller. But first let us begin with my daytime beauty potions and lotions.

Everyone should have a potent Vitamin C serum in their arsenal. This one by Dr. Perricone is one of my favorites. And it smell wonderful with a lovely citrus scent.

vit c.jpg

I start any foundation with a good make-up primer. I love this one because it has a hint of pearl and it feels very cooling on the skin. Plus, it works! It most definitely helps keep your make up from fading or budging. Laura Geller.

ESTnm.jpg

I have used this Estee Lauder eye concentrate for years. Fast absorbing and not greasy at all!

medium_1553858945.jpeg

This is a terrific daytime moisturizer. It absorbs quickly but your skin (mine is dry-ish) feels moisturized. Hooray! Korres

spackle.jpeg
coola.jpg

Don’t forget the sunscreen! This one is very lightweight and no oily feeling at all. Coola.

This is a very reliable and lightweight under eye concealer and all around champ. It offers light to medium coverage and it works beautifully with her powder foundation. I love this baked balance and glow foundation. It is well pigmented and gives your skin a lit from within glow that is beautiful without looking like a disco ball. I mean, who wants to glow THAT much? Laura Geller.

I also used the palette shown above. It has everything I need and it is great for traveling. Although discontinued try looking for similar palettes that work while traveling. Also, when put together in this fashion you can keep the guesswork out of having to decide if colors are complimentary. Laura Geller.

My favorite summer time lipstick in Crystal Baby from Estee Lauder.

The BEST summer bronzer. Period! Bronze and Brighten by Laura Geller.

I cannot believe summer is nearly over! I love the warm temps and all the outdoors get togethers that we have been lucky enough to enjoy.

Wishing you a wonderful Labor Day!

Weekend Favorites

Beverly Garcia (7).jpg

These are my favorites from this past weekend. A weekend filled with a little entertaining at home. With social distancing requirements, of course! I really miss hugging my friends! The only ones I get to bother with all my hugging are my hubby and my dog. I think they are getting tired of me. Who knew?

Anywhoo, the cute sapphire blue goddess maxi dress was perfect for an evening at home with friends. The material is so darn soft and it comes in a ton of colors. Bought this one online at New York & Co. Which by the way is soon to disappear from all shopping centers as they are closing ALL stores. So, before this dress does a disappearing act of its own I may have to get another color.

Beverly Garcia (8).jpg

Now, isn’t this a fun skirt? Love the pleating and length not to mention the confetti pattern.

This one is from J. Crew. I made it a little casual with a classic chambray shirt, Gucci belt and suede d’orsay pumps also from J. Crew.

Until next time…

Live beautiful!

Beverly Garcia (9).jpg

This casual outfit was perfect for church.

You could pair it with a t-shirt and flats or make it dressy with a silk blouse. The possibilities are endless. Pick any color and I bet this skirt has it in its design.

Oh, and Tom Ford sunglasses.

White Hot Date Night

white dress.jpg

I love a good dress. Have I told you I am DRESS OBSESSED? This was a fabulous find at Saks Off 5th.

The dress is made from a luxurious fabric that is embossed with a lovely jacquard flower design. I love flowers too! It is easy to wear, not fussy at all but so unique. I knew I had to have it and especially at the insane price of $50.00!! It is by the very pricey Lafayette 148 New York and it retailed for $898.00

No, that’s NOT a typo!!!

Beverly Garcia (5).jpg

I think white and gold accessories are such a classic look. A chunky floral cuff bracelet, watch and earrings. The sandals are from DSW Shoe Warehouse.

Beverly Garcia (6).jpg

How cute and on trend is this handbag? It is a perfect casual summer accessory. It reminds me of Popsicle sticks. It has a hinged handle and it would fit a lot of items. It held my cell phone, hairbrush, powder and the lipstick I am wearing from a kit I bought at Marshall’s from the Josie Maran argan oil line of cosmetics. I am a big fan of the body butter and facial serum. This kit had a lovely coral lipstick and I like it a lot.

Josie Maran.jpg

The set of luxurious argan oil products are my favorite with a soft watermelon scent and an added bonus of the coral lipstick. I had been wanting to try the whipped face butter and her lipsticks so this was a great find. Lucky for me, I love both products. They are all so moisturizing for me since I live in a dry climate.

jpg (7).jpg

The wooden handbag is by Straw Studios and I found it at Nordstrom. It is fun and trendy and under $100.00 so you don’t need to break the bank to look fashionable.

I hope you enjoyed this post and will find yourself heading to tour nearest Saks Off 5th. You never know what wonderful bargain waits you!

Stein Mart Find

These pants are so cute! No buttons, no zippers no fuss. I bought them at Stein Mart during an insane sale last month. They have a lovely white background with a soft blue paisley print and small crystal detail at the hem.

jpg.jpg

The white sandals are Marc Fisher at Bloomingdale’s. The crisp cotton shirt is from Chico’s and the blue cotton cardigan is Talbots. Sunglasses are Kate Spade and I have had them forever.

jpg (5).jpg

The pants hit just above the ankle and have an open cut out and are embellished with crystals. These pants would look great with a blue or white t shirt.

Beverly Garcia (4).jpg

This is my kind of casual chic comfort. Wishing you a great week ahead.

Stay beautiful and Safe!

Summer Lunch in total Comfort

Getting out and about during this Covid shut down has been a challenge. But I am glad things are getting back to a slow normal. Not seeing friends has made life a little boring but some of us are ready to ditch the sweatpants and t shirts in the name of socializing!

I shopped with mom on a recent visit to Atlanta and bought this super comfortable jumpsuit at T.J. Maxx.

It is made from the softest cotton material. Think your favorite pajamas or that t shirt you have washed a hundred times and it feels like a baby’s blanket. It has a comfortable gathered elastic waist and pockets.

Beverly Garcia.jpg

Do you like my shoes and handbag? Bought them on the same trip! The handbag is of straw with a fun zig zag pattern and wood handle. It is very simple inside. Lined in black polyester and one inside pocket for easy access. This one caught my attention while shopping with mom at Stein Mart.

Beverly Garcia (2).jpg

Lets talk about these fun slides with just a little bling and grosgrain ribbon from J. Crew. They are very comfy and go with anything. The J. Crew sale going on now is bananas!

Beverly Garcia (3).jpg

Stein Mart purse and J. Crew shoes complete a rather relaxed outfit perfect for an outdoor summer lunch with friends.

Beverly Garcia (1).jpg

I hope I have inspired you to get out and about and to think a little outside the box when pairing together a simple and uber affordable black and white ensemble. For me it started with the accessories and I found a jumpsuit to match and compliment. A little spritz of one of my favorite Jo Malone fragrances in Orange Blossom and my Tom Ford Sunglasses I felt like my old self again!

Stay beautiful and classy!

Mobile Image.jpg

Orange Crush

This darling J. Crew eyelet dress is the perfect summer dress for cocktails with friends. I love a classic shift dress and the bell sleeves are so feminine and on trend. It comes in a few other colors including basic black that is anything BUT basic. I might have to get that one!

jpg (2).jpg
jpg.jpg

I selected a pair of Betsey Johnson slide sandals with small Lucite heels from Nordstrom and the cutest purse from a long ago trip to San Francisco’s Chinatown. I just love it. It is embroidered with colorful flowers and it opens just like a take-out box.

jpg (4).jpg

Betsey Johnson sandals at Nordstrom and my China Town bag. Too much cuteness? Nah.

jpg (3).jpg

I am still loving the bell sleeve trend and getting plenty of use from my favorite Tom Ford sunglasses at Bloomingdale’s. Oh, and one of my favorite summer lipsticks… Crystal Baby by Estee Lauder.

Stay beautiful,

Girl's Night In!

Yay! Coming out of this unprecedented Covid-19 house arrest in style…and HEALTHY.

Thank goodness for fun girlfriends who also happen to be great neighbors. My favorite photographer, Judy decided to host a lovely and fun get together. The weather was warm and sunny and the patio was the perfect spot. Champagne anyone?

123.jpg

I feel so comfy in this adorable jumpsuit from the GAP. The blue hue worked beautifully with this knock out soft jacket from STEIN MART. The jacket is embroidered and has small silver medallions as an added interest.

Sunglasses are Tom Ford at Bloomingdale’s

ggg (2).jpg

Here is a better look at the fun silver medallions that hang from the jacket. Oh and the ruffle trim around the bottom is a very feminine detail.

This jacket goes with everything! Blue jeans, crisp white jeans, cropped pants and chambray.

Yes I am ready to venture outside of our ranch. Even if it is visiting neighbors and catching up with a glass of bubbly!

Stay beautiful, healthy and keep the faith!

Perfect Autumn Color

Mobile Image.png

Summer is still here but the light is changing and cooler nights prevail. You know I am dressed obsessed! For those warm late summer days this flowy dress is perfect. The sage color is flattering, the lace and crochet inserts are feminine and I just love an off-the shoulder style. Who doesn’t? My shoulders are the only part of my body that resists weight gain!

Mobile Image (4).jpg

This lovely dress I found at Stein Mart during a late summer clearance sale. I kept the jewelry simple and voila I am rocking a very pretty boho-chic look. Look at the lace detail. So pretty.

I hope you are enjoying the last few weeks of your summer.

Red Hot Holiday

Happy Independence Day!  One of my favorite holidays.  What is more American than hot dogs, baseball and apple pie?  Let us not forget the 1812 Overture and booming fireworks that light up a warm July 4th evening.  Magical.  This cute red top is perfect for the celebrations.  The color and the sleeve pleated details are so cute.  I will mention, the arm hole is a bit large (although I wear small) and your undergarment might show. But, don't despair...I wore a flesh toned camisole underneath and problem solved!  The white cotton jeans have the ideal amount of stretch and have a very femenine pearl detail at the bottom.  How classy!  Both the top and jeans are from SteinMart.

The black wedge heels are from Michael at DSW and my big fun sunglasses are from Dolce & Gabbana at Neiman Marcus.

How fabulous are these sleeve details?  So fun!  Here is a better look at the jeans.  I love pearls, so when I saw them I knew they were going to be mine! A few weeks later SteinMart had a big sale and I bought a blue pair.

Woohoo! Call me lucky but I truly love shopping and a good sale is NEVER a bad thing to come across.  Yep.  I hope you have a fantastic week ahead.

Stay Classy!

Spring Fling Date Night!

Spring is here!  HALLELUJAH!!  Did I ever tell you animal print is my favorite color?  Well, know you know... I was excited to wear this stylish and classic maxi dress from HSN and the Iman Collection for our weekend date night. Here in Las Vegas the flowers are in bloom and the weather is perfect.  I love this dress for so many reasons.  Great fabric that moves beautifully.  A classic animal print and a high-low hem keeps it interesting.  It has a long belt around the waist that I tied up in the back.

Spring 2018 1.jpg
Spring 2018 3.jpg

The sunglasses are my favorite by Tom Ford and Saks Fifth Avenue.  I opted for simple yet striking rose gold finish pave jewelry by Joan Boyce for HSN.  I love the pave collar and matching earrings.  Her jewelry collection makes you feel like a million without robbing the bank!

Spring 2018.jpg

The high low hem keeps you cool and allows a little leg to peek out.  Speaking of legs...My are looking great thanks to my FAVORITE self tanning product by Josie Maran Cosmetics.  Her argan oil line is truly exceptional and the self tanning oil is so fantastic.   You have to give this a try.  Trust me when I tell you, it will become your go-to!  The tan it gives you is believable and buildable. The argan oil gives you a beautiful glow and lots of moisture.  Two new products I am trying and wearing on date night (because Tati on You-Tube raves about them) is the Guerlain L'Or primer and the Laura Mercier Flawless Fusion full coverage foundation.  I will let you know how they perform in an upcoming post.

Now, on to one of my favorite restaurants. It is the Andiron Steak & Seafood Restaurant located in Downtown Summerlin.  A great shopping and eating destination.  I love the staff, the décor, vibe and the food is DELISH!  If you are ever in the neighborhood you must stop by!

web1_andiron-2-_0.jpg
Andiron.jpg

Isn't the décor just so fresh and classic?  The pops of light green make me happy and their signature black floral print which is visible in their custom plates and staff uniform is so fun.  I love a good floral chintz pattern, any day!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  I love sharing my bargains and style with y'all.

Winter Break in Scottsdale

Winter can be a long season especially for us who live in Colorado.  So, I was ready for a winter break and we decided to take a long weekend and visit Scottsdale. We have not been there in years!  We had a dual purpose...the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction and the Scottsdale Art Auction featuring over 400 works of art by the Leanin' Tree Museum collection.  We had great fun.  The Barrett-Jackson Auction was an unbelievable event that takes place over multiple days.  Overwhelming!  However, a must see for car buffs and aficionados.

Mobile Image (4).jpg

This was one of the looks for our gallery hopping and attending the art auction.  The floral top is by @Talbots and I love the lively colors especially in January when things can look a bit dreary, right?  The suit is one I picked up @New York & CO.  It is so comfortable, stylish and I felt very pulled together!  The color was also a factor in my buying it.

SCOTTSDALE1.jpg
Mobile Image (5).jpg

The suit is soft and the jacket is NOT structured, so movement is key! The slacks are wide leg and come in a number of colors as does the jacket.  I wore my go-to pearl necklaces, they seem to be the most often seen item in this blog!  You can't go wrong with pearls.    These shoes are so adorable and were actually comfortable to walk around during the Scottsdale Art Auction.  I bought these at DSW, you've heard of them, right??? Ha!  I must mention two terrific restaurants we loved.  You must try The House Brasserie for new American cuisine in a very quaint older home in old Scottsdale.  Within walking distance to everything.  Also fine Italian and home made pasta can be found at Marcellino.  Fantastic food, ambiance and live music that won't compete with your conversation.

Mobile Image (3).jpg
Mobile Image (2).jpg

Here are a few photos of the amazing Barrett-Jackson.  It was very high energy and the cars were beautiful as you can see by the look of this   Studebaker!  Next time I'll bring my wallet!

Thanks so much for stopping by!  Your comments and suggestions are always welcomed.  Don't forget to follow me on INSTAGRAM!

Have a great week

Christmas Day Outfit

This super comfy sweater dress is what I wore for Christmas Day dinner at Alpenrose Restaurant in Vail, CO.  It is by  Cremieux Collection and I  found this one at Dillard's.

XMAS DAY 2017.jpg

The dress is cozy and comfy and I love the cowl neck.  It has a little bit of sparkle in the threads and mini sequins. Very festive!  I found these fabulous velvet pull-on boots at Neiman Marcus and they are by Donald Pliner. The kitten heels are comfortable while walking around in Vail Village on our way to cocktails at the Sonnenalp Hotel.  They do such a beautiful job decorating for the holidays!

DENNIS BASSO FAUX FUR.jpg

This is such a fun faux fur coat!  I love the colors and it feels AMAZING!  It is designed by Dennis Basso and can be found at QVC.  I am not sure if it is still available as I have had it for several years.  BUT...he has many designs online.

Hope you are staying warm & having fun!

I Love Autumn

Autumn is truly a magical time.  Cool crisp days and nights.  Falling leaves, beautiful bright golden colors, college football and pumpkin spice everything!  But... Let's not forget the fashions!

I especially love this outfit I put together for an evening of fundraising a few weeks ago. The blouse with  flowing sleeves and gorgeous gold color is one of my favorites and I am happy to see the spring-summer trend continue to the fall and winter.  I love gold jewelry and found some long necklaces that complemented the whole look.

The velvet skirt is so comfortable thanks to a bit of stretch in the material and I love the lady like length.  But these shoes make me smile.  They are suede, playful and (the magic word)...comfy!!  Who woulda thunk it?  I wanted to add a bit of texture and knew I wanted some fishnet style hosiery.

I was thrilled to find a black floral pattern to complete the look.  Color, comfort and a bit of glamorous fall style!

Wishing you a fabulous day ahead!
